Transition Brockville              

The results are in for the 2010 Power Pledge Community Challenge. In its category - towns with populations between 10,000 and 75,000 - Brockville came in 25th out of 45 communities. With 246 pledges, our per capita participation was 1.12%. The winning community of Tecumseh achieved a participation rate of 5.01%. The lowest participation rate was in Pelham, with 0.19%.

Held August 11th from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., the Power Pledge Community Challenge Day was supported by almost 90 Ontario communities representing 82 percent of Ontarians. The Power Pledge Community Challenge is one element of a five-month conservation awareness campaign organized by the Ontario Power Authority and sponsored by World Wildlife Canada.
