A Celebration of Old and New Skills

The Festival is a grassroots celebration of local rural life skills and self-reliance, small-scale agriculture, and alternative energy - in town and in the countryside.

Come and learn about:

. Living Simply
. Earth-Friendly Technology
. Growing Your Own Food
. Raising Animals
. Forgotten Skills

Free Festival pass if you use renewable fuel to get there!

Location: Cornell Cooperative Extension Learning Farm, Route 68 -- 2.3 miles south of Rt. 11, Canton, NY

Start: 17:00

We will be hosting our first-ever "local foods" harvest potluck supper at our September 26 meeting. Everyone who grows their own food, supports local farmers or values the principle of eating locally is warmly invited to bring a local foods dish and enjoy the fellowship of like-minded folk.

In addition to telling the gathering which components of their dish are local, people can tell where the ingredients came from and perhaps share a recipe or suggest a good book on gardening or food preserving.
